The recording featured an impressive ensemble, including Lu Rodríguez (drums), Oso Ovalle (bass), Alan Fajardo and Moisés García (trumpets), Reinier Toledo (trombone), Gamaliel Pérez (tuba), and Adrián himself (woodwinds and flutes). In late 2024, an innovative jazz rock fusion album came to life in the intimate setting of Pesticide Free Music studio. The project featured a hand-picked ensemble of exceptional musicians lead by Alan Fajardo, including a Grammy Award-winning sax player (adrian Terrazas-González) whose distinctive style infused the record with depth and originality. The musicians, known for their virtuosity and extensive backgrounds in both jazz and rock, gathered late at night to capture the perfect energy of improvisation and raw emotion, unfiltered by the typical constraints of a commercial studio.
The sessions unfolded with a relaxed yet focused atmosphere, allowing for spontaneous and creative performances that would not have been possible in a more rigid environment. The recording process was meticulous, with each instrument captured in pristine quality through high-end microphones, carefully chosen to enhance the character of the room’s acoustics.
The mixing process involved long nights of fine-tuning, ensuring each layer of the composition was brought to life with clarity and dimension. Every note, from the soaring guitar solos to the intricate bass lines and dynamic drum patterns, was given the attention it deserved, resulting in a final mix that was both complex and accessible.
The finished album not only captured the energy of the night but also showcased a deep understanding of musical craftsmanship, blending the intellectual complexity of jazz with the drive of rock in a seamless fusion. The project’s achievement is a testament to the powerful synergy between a world-class team of musicians and a dedicated studio that encouraged creativity, comfort, and authenticity.
